Hello all,

I will be getting the 1-2 grind fix soon (the dealer already ordered the parts). Because the fact that I already have 24k miles on mine. I am thinking of replacing the clutch at the same time. I am looking for a high performance (racing) clutch for the S2000. Any recommendation would greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You might want to skip that because many dealers are replacing the clutch with an upgraded unit for free under warantee with the transmission fix.

If it's a factory clutch, it stinks! I used Mugen Plate with factory disk and it run awsome.

The new factory clutch is a heavy duty version.

Fito: How would you know it stinks if you haven't tried the new clutch? Most reports I've read suggest it's a much better unit.

If you haven't tried it, how can you know it's so bad?

I'll wait til I get my new Honda clutch next week before I give an opinion.

I heard exactly the opposite. The new clutch would increase clutch noise...

That's odd, so I guess the fact that it is a heavier duty version means more noise?

Mike who said it's heavy duty?

Is there a new pressure plate or just clutch disc?

I heard the new disk has the springs held different to keep them from rattling, that's all. That's just rumor though, do you know any of this for sure?
