Default Getting another S2K, need advice between two...

I am finally looking at buying another S2K soon. I owned an 01 NFR a few years ago and have missed it everyday since owning.

I have two that I am interested in now. They are adult owned, original owner, no accidents, and well taken care of. One is a 01 with 64K miles, and the other is an 05 with 107K. Both are around the same price.

I loved the 9K RPM on the AP1, but haven't driven an AP2 yet (hope to change that within the week). This will be my DD.

So I am unsure which direction, a low mileage AP1 or a high mileage AP2. Opinions? Would anyone be weary of buying one with over 100K?

Any advice would be appreciated!

It depends on the type of miles, of course.

But I'd lean toward the AP2.

Just make sure you get a comp test if you can.

And I'd lean towards the lower mileage, all other things equal. But all other things are never equal.

I'd go for the AP1. If the AP2 was an 06+, I'd go for the AP2.

If it's going to be a daily driver and you're going to put >50k miles on it, I'd start with a less worn engine personally.

I would always go for the lower mileage if the price is the same.

take into consideration the shape of the vehicle, as well. How well were they maintained? Any records? What do the seats look like, how is the condition of the soft top? Did the 01 have it replaced or is it still a plastic window? If it were me buying it I think I would go for the ap2 just to have a more updated vehicle....plus the 01 doesn't have a clock in the dashboard and it drives me freaking nuts! (I have an 01 and I have to flip the radio open whenever I wanna see the time )

I'd go with the ap1 with lower mileage...less headache and more peace of mind in the long run with it being a daily.

The 01 has a new top, replaced last November, but replaced with another plastic. Neither have much wear on the seats and both tops look great. The 05 has mostly highway miles.

The 01 is an NFR, the 05 is GPW.

Low mileage. 100,000 is a lot of miles. I would never by a car with 100,000 miles on it, just isn't smart.
