Yea, I'm not sure how much gears will add though. I have I/H/E a/c removed and AEM ECU fully tuned and only got 204. I think it's more just the luck of the draw but that's just me, maybe I'm bitter

If he dynos on a dynojet, you'd see hp gain since it's an inertial dyno. I assume the car accelerates more quickly (vs. stock), which the dyno will interpret as "extra horsepower".
Gears add to the horsepower result in the same way that dynoing in 3rd vs 4th gear does - which is, zero effect. The car accelerates much more quickly in 3rd when compared to 4th, but they both yield pretty much the same numbers.

When I had my car done, the put the straps through the rims, the also put some heat shiled stuff ontop of the mufflers. I dynoed in 4th, he said he did 4rth for a 6speed, 3rd for a 5 speed. the most important part is to not touch your brakes after the run!

You're correct, and, I'm aware that gears don't add any true hp to the car. However, due to the nature of an inertial dyno, which measure velocity and then extrapolates torque and hp, changes in acceleration (+ or -) of the drum will show as increase/decrease in horsepower on the dyno output. This is the same reason heavy wheels will lower whp readings on a dynojet - decrease acceleration.
No, sorry, that's not correct. Think about 3rd vs 4th gear again. The drums will accelerate much more quickly, but the horsepower rating will NOT be any higher. Gear vs no gears is like having very tight spacing between 3rd and 4th. Remember, to properly calculate horsepower the Dynojet needs an RPM signal. Using the ratio between engine and dum RPM, the Dynojet and determine gearing and eliminate it as a factor. Heavy wheels do indeed effect the readings, but that's because they change the rate of accelerationg without changing the ratio between engine and drum speeds.

nope nothings wrong with my car. Might have had something to do with the florida heat. Coulda just been the dynojet I used put out lower than average numbers also.

ok temps will be 30s here s2k just got new oil change and diff fluid for my gears after the 1k mark! My s2k is ready

VAFC should be here anyday from cali!
Quick Q are you able to stuff those wires from plug and play harness behind that plastic plane which cover sup the ecu? you know the planel which you have to slide the hood swithc through? The wire kit is bigger than I thought it would be.

also any pics of where you plug the plug and play harness into the ECU? Looks like there are 3 diff outputs on the plug and play harness. you dont have to take the ECU out right?

thanks!
