Default Getting frustrated

So, I just had to vent somewhere about my car, here it goes... About 3 weeks ago my friend blew the engine on my 01 Silverstone by managing to downshift from 5th to 2nd (don't ask me how). But I was supposed to pick it up from the dealership today after they dropped a new engine, clutch, and flywheel in. Well I get there and see there is no engine or trany in the car. It turns out that after they dropped the brand new block in and replaced everything they missed a piece of the valve that was sitting in the intake... well guess what, it got sucked into the engine and destroyed that one too! It's gonna be at least another 2 weeks now, I swear i'm going to go insane without my car!!! Thats really it I guess just thought I'd share.

At least it's being fixed. Don't sweat the small stuff. It'll be back soon enough.

Dooooooon't say that. I read about the misshifting from 3rd to 2nd about 6 months into ownership. I kept thinking to myself, "what dumbasses." Surprise surprise, about a week later, I got a little excited and went WOT on a freeway. BAM! 70mph in 3rd down to 2nd. Thank God I didn't throw a CEL immediately. It was just careless, and I have a moments hesitation before I release the clutch going from 3rd to 4th in WOT now.

Hey, at least the shop owes you a little now. You are in the power position because if anything else comes up you can always point back to their error causing an additional 2 weeks time to repair the vehicle.

BTW, I'd be asking them for a loaner if they haven't given you one already.

Suck it up, soldier. These 2 weeks will mean nothing a month or two from now Reminds me of when I failed my driving test at 16 (ridiculous, said I rolled through 3 stop signs, that liar!) and I had to wait 13 days to retake it. I was sure it was the end of the world, but as soon as I got it that 13 days was a faint memory.

As the saying goes, don't sweat the petty things, pet the sweaty things...

two weeks... that's nothing my son compared to my 2 months license suspension which I managed to reduced it to 1 month with my letter of appeal.

knowing that there's an s2k sitting in my garage FULLY READY to be driven by me and having to take the bus all the time was much more painful man.. plus that bus passes by a stop with sikh temple nearby and there are always some dudes with turbans with mixed smell of curry and their armpit smells... sorry not trying to offend anyone but it was nasty.

my story should at least make u feel SOMEWHAT better
