Getting Insurance Quotes
I am trying to get insurance quotes online and everytime I do, theres always a section to fill out your telephone number so they can call you to discuss the plans.
I don't want them to call me.. I just want to fill out questions and get an estimate at the end on how much insurance will be. Does anyone know what insurance/website offers that to you?
1.) Any recommendations?(I live in Florida if that matters)
2.) What is the discount rate for Good Students?(Do they check your transcripts?)
3.) Do they actually check all the information regarding.. if you have been in a traffic accident, been issued a traffic ticket, etc..?
3a.) If you have been issued a traffic ticket but went to traffic school, do you still have to say YES? I thought you don't get points added to your record if you went to school.
Thanks a bunch

Some things I have seen trying to get quotes:
1. Competition is fierce, so if you don't leave contact info, they may assume you are working for a competitor and never contact you back
2. If you have parents that are willing to put you on their policy, it will be way cheaper than if you do it on your own, thanks to multiple-car discounts
3. I could not get an exact quote unless I supplied a VIN number to my insurance company. The quote they gave me was $1590.00, but when I gave them the VIN, it dropped to less than $900.00 (I live in California)
4. I got my good student discount when I specified my GPA. They did not ask for any proof.
5. They can check any info your local DMV has on you. I would suspect that the question regarding traffic school is a trap, but in my state the insurance companies cannot find out about tickets written off by taking traffic school.

thanks for the answers.
jtpassat: I kinda didn't feel like calling insurance companies up, kinda a hassle. I basically just wanted to input my infomation and then get a computerized generated estimate at the end.

I just recently changed insurance companies and the new company was able to tell that I had my Explorer's windshield fixed once and then replaced a couple of years later. I never mentioned these things because they weren't accident related. It's amazing what they can find out. Just be honest. Oh, and BTW, I did all this online. Plus, I got a quote from Progressive online as well.
