Default Getting mom interested?

Hey, this is my first post here on the boards. While i'm not the owner of the S2000, (my mom is) i still do drive it and enjoy it very much. I drive an Eclipse and enjoy working on it, and wish my mom would share the enthusiasm. She's worried about voiding warrnaties, and i told her that she could get stuff from Spoon and Mugen since they are factory-backed companies. The question is where could yall point me to shop for parts for the car. I'd like for her to get some kind of intake and exhaust, nice ones, not cheap ones that don't do anything. If yall could point me in the right direction, it would be a lot of help. Thanks alot.

Many S2k owners think the car is perfect stock. Why waste $ for things she cares less about?

Your mom is right. You told her wrong. If she needs work and Honda denies the warranty based on Spoon or Mugen aftermarket parts, are you prepared to pay for the repair costs yourself since you advised her (wrongly) that the warranty wouldn't be in jeapordy? By the way, a new short block can cost $11,000.

Have her look thru a site like ricks2k.com and see if she likes anything from there. I'm sure she'd want some of the things they make. And its pretty much all cosmetic stuff that wont hurt the warranty one bit.

I don't think you should be coercing your mom into doing stuff to HER car.
If it were my case, my kids better keep their grubby little hands off my car and be darn thankful I let them drive it once in a while.
ps. They will never drive my car!
