i got a message today from my dealer telling me that the car should be here in about a week. this was in the afternoon. around 7 my friend calls and says that he saw a silver s2k with plastic all over it up at the dealership. my car came in after my sales guy left for the day! i am so excited. so tomorrow i am going to take a early lunch and see if i can't take delivery after work. the funny thing is, when i put the deposit down at the end of december, he figured it would be around march. i got a call two weeks ago and he told me it was a month early, giving me the vin # and all. and now! i cant wait until tomorrow. thanks for all the info offered here on the board. i have been reading since just before i put my deposit down. i cant believe it.

congrats. don't vtec before 600miles and make sure the dealer takes out the spacers.

I done it just about a month ago and I want to do it again....
Watch out for mis-down-shifts if it's your firtst six speed. You can loose
track of which gear you are in for a few days..

 

Saturday's my "S2K Day"...we will be off to San Diego where by brother will pick us up for the ride to El Centro and our Silver/Red roadster. Long haul on Sunday back up to Livermore but should be quite a nice day even out on The SuperSlab (Interstate 5). No time to dawdle on the coast, we have to be in Eureka on Monday (business, so we are taking the Company Neon...ugh).

Question...how much luggage space is "5.0 cubic feet" in packing terms? Like, 1.5 pairs of underwear and one toothbrush?
