I seen alot of people run Test pipes on there s2k, how do you go about getting your smog? did you keep your stock cat? and just reinstall when its time to get your car smogged or do you have someone that hooks you up?

The teenagers that work in those crappy little smog check stations definitely won't risk their meaningful, fullfilling, and definitely not-minimum wage jobs if you show them a Franklin (or the equivalent in your country, I'm sure).

Joking aisde though, it's easy enough just to swap them out.

That's one thing we can brag about being in Texas for. Some counties don't even run emissions inspections just good ol head light and tail light inspections.

California is pretty strict when it comes to emissions testing

In CA dont try to smog with a test pipe. Once you fail its on your cars history report. The smog equipment is linked to DMV data. Smog stations can lose their lic for passing faulty cars. They can fail you for visual. EMS, test pipe, cel codes, intakes and FC with no CARB documentation. With no cat you wont pass sniff test anyway. Best bet is put the car back to stock and make sure there is no cel codes.
CA is the worst but the air here has improved from 70's thru mid 80's very clean now.

It should only be based on sniff test but its not. Good luck.
