glass rear window
great article on replacing the rear window in "any convertible with over 5,000 units produced a year" in today's (11/15/00) Los Angeles Times- "Highway 1- Autos California Style" section... i spoke to Doug Robbins (son of Richard Robbins, owner) who told me that they have a better plastic window for our car, but can not yet replace it with glass. he suggested that we check their site for developments: http://www.robbinsautotop.com/
(i checked it and could not get it to work). if you want to call them, Dustin or Scott are in charge of this: (310) 450-3444, extensions 404 or 405. they can discuss replacing the plastic with better plastic. Doug asked me to pass on that they love our car... and of course i told him that we do too!

Here's the link to the LA Times article for anyone interested. Looks like wanabe beat me to the punch on posting this.

As far as a glass window, you just can't replace a triple-folded plastic window with a glass window and expect it to store in the same space.

Has anyone noticed that the window well looks like it is a panel that comes off? Well, maybe it they changed the shape of the window well, it would be possible to fit a glass window in there. Who knows.
