Default Glass rear window for make 1999 - 2001 ?

i wrote an email to cabrioworld recently ...............seems that they might be planning to design a glass rear window replacement for the S. Not too sure if that is possible at all. Well, if there are enough ppl who might drop them a line or two .... they might just do it if it makes any business sense.

cheers

How much does it cost to have the soft top with plastic rear window replaced by Honda to the glass rear window?

Heh heh ........ at the peak, it was going for US$122k .... with the current lower yen ....... its at US$100k ....... either way I try not to think about it.

the other tops at cabrioworld seem to be relatively reasonable priced ....... hopefully we can get a glass replacement soon .......... the scratches on mine is driving me nuts, getting really fed up with the constant need for polishing.

this is not an option ......... those of us who have the AP1 made between 1999 - 2001 (correct me if I am wrong) will not be able to have the rear plastic window replace by the glass version .... apparently the new model with the glass window use a slightly different top mechanism. Honda has choose to ignore our plight for replacement.... so we would have to turn to other manufacturer for such a aftermarket product ... if it is at all possible. Keep the fingers crossed

Would a glass windowed top fit in the roof well of an '00-'01? How small would the window have to be?

The tread that lead to the Japan conversion pics looked like the fabric top alone. The whole mechanism may have been there I'm not sure. At the very least you could attach an entirely new unit to your car the mounts are still the same. I respect to cost I would rather trade my car for a new version and get all the other enhancements that have been made.
