Default Glitches with my new S2K

I just got my '02 S2K last week. Can you tell me if you've had similar things happen with your new S2K and if I should be worried about them:

- When I shut off the engine, it shakes and rattles a bit like if you were stalling it.
- When it's idle, the engine shivers slightly every few seconds. It's *really* hard to notice and I may just be paranoid as far as this is concerned. It could be related to the first thing.
- My dashboard vibrates when I'm between 3000 and 3500 RPMs. This is probably a simple fix, I was just wondering if any of you have had the same thing and know which part exactly is vibrating.

Thanks!

Had my s for about a week now too but I don't notice any of the problems you had. Sorry. Maybe you should take it back to the dealer and ask what is wrong with it.

I don't know about the third, and I'm not sure the first is actually a problem, but regarding the second - what was your previous car?

Cars with a logitudinally mounted engine (911, S2000, etc.) tend to shake side-to-side a bit due to irregularities in in the gasoline explosions happening 20 times a second or whatever. In a car with a transverse engine, like an Integra, you never get to feel those shakings.

The shaking when you turn off the engine is normal. You might want to check on the other two.

Congrats on your new purchase...and have fun.

I would take her to the dealer.
I am very anal about my S and I can't stand any rattles, shakes or quakes.

The run-on after shutdown is cheap gas. Use premium only and from a trusted source. The idle might be the same thing. the 3-4K rattle thing is a "feature" of all S2000's I think.

C-Three, I think you hit the mark. I'm running on my second tank which I filled up at Costco. I know I know, don't flame me. I used to gas my old car at Costco all the time with their Premium fuel. I always told my friends that the quality of the Costco Premium gas varied a lot, from Rocket fuel to cheap-ass regular that you'd find anywhere. And thinking about it, I do feel that the car ran smoother with the first tank.

I'm still half full, but I'll go top it up with some Shell premium today.
Thanks.
