GO WONT GO INTO GEAR!
Long story short, I drove home in third gear only, thinking my tranny was shot. Clutch smells great too!
Well, this is what happend... It was a nice hot day hear in Omaha and wanted to drive around. As I was driving my shifter felt funny and seemed to go into third before going into first gear.
I was concerned but had no clue what was causing it.
Me and my wife were checking out new cars and had just test drove a 2006 s2000(Like mine better
). We were headed to the Chrysler dealer to check out a 300C when I pulled into the dealer, stopped, and could no longer get into gear. The sales man thought I was retarted.
So we check out some cars thinkg the car would fix it self when we were done. No luck, the car still wont go into gear. From the dealer all the way home, I could only get into third with the occasional popping out of gear.
I get home and wanted to replace the shifter to see if ti was the cause. And sure enough, it was.
The white little thing that goes onto the shifter had slid all the way done the shaft not allowing me to get into gear.
I dont know if this has been covered elsehwere, but I no longer follow that Axialflow shifter thread as its a million pages long.

Im not bashing the product just asking a question, does that short shifter provide enough benefits to outweigh all the problems ive been hearing? I just dont see how much you can improve the s2k's shifts.
