Default Going To Buy a S2000 Tommarow, Which one 02 or 04

I'm going to purchase a S2000 tommarow, but I can't make up my mind. The dealer has a blue 2002 that is in prestine condition with 16,000 miles. They also have a 04 in the show room, also blue, but am having trouble justifying the extra 9G's for the new one. For those of you who have a 2002 or 2003 and have driven the 04, how do they compare. Is it worth the extra money for the .2L of motor, another cupholder, and 17" wheels. Really leaning towards the 02, its like new and dealer is going to sell it for 24k.

Love the 9k RPM, but i'm hearing good things about the 04.

Another thing to think about is that you can get an 04 for 31k, easy. That's only 7k more.

I'd say if you are buying from dealership to buy the 04, if you're going to buy used, get it from private seller and you'll save loads on tax.

I love my Suzuka Blue '04......never even driven the '02 before so I can't make comparison but my vote goes to the '04 just because I can't imagine a car being any better than this one.

I'll just say I'm not planning on trading my 02 for a 04. 24k for the 02 sounds good, have them include a new set of S02's and you'll be all set.

how important is $9000 to you?

If you buy the 02 someone else already ate the large part of the depreciation. Buy the 04 and you will eat it

Four new So2's and the service records on the car and go with the 02
