problem there, first i'll have to buy a VHS camcorder, since my mini-DV only records 90 mins, then i'll have to find a huge ass battery long enough for 7 hours, find a car to modify and mount it to....

 

Stories like this really piss me off. People that mess with others people's things should be cained like that dumbass who spray painted the cars back in the 90's in Singapore. He deserved to get cained across his ass for disrespecting someone elses property just like this a$$hole deserves a beating he won't forget. There's no excuse for crap like that.

I say pay some hobo $20 and a six pack to wait in the parking lot for this ass and tell him to go off on him when he sees someone doing something to your car. Or better yet, two hobos b/c they tend to be kinda sloppy fighters.

 

put a camera in your car....

or..get an alarm, set it so sensitive so if someone taps your car in any way it will go off, and get a big bomb and put it in the car, and when the alarm goes off it triggers the bomb...and u kill that SOB thats stealing your shit!

then u get another S with insurance money

 

can i add that to the existing factory alarm?

I was thinkin of a camera, but the only kind that records long enough is VHS (Very big, bulky, and not covert at all) and their batteries only go up to 2 hours.

The alarm will sound, but i won't hear it while i'm in class... so........

They make pagers that let you know if the alarm is going off. Then you could run out "to the bathroom" and check on your car. Slip the security guy a 20...

Remember it's not good enough to know who did it. If you want to involve the police, then you've got to convince them that it was indeed the person in question. I had my car keyed and knew damn well who it was, but the cop was like, "I can't dust your car for prints dude, that stuff doesn't just come off". My deductable was only $100 for any type of vandalism, which was lovely.

 

ok... but if i make an alarm so sensitive that it goes off all the time... wont it ruin the fact the guy will be surprised i have an alarm like that... and he does have enough time to run off

Can i add these features onto my factory alarm, or do I have to buy a new alarm??

i was thinking of just doing something tempting... eg leaving trunk slightly open but nothing's in there... and video taping... but the the problem is how am i gonna find a camcorder that will tape for 7 hrs straight......

 

get the system where your car conducts electricity and it shocks the shit out of them if they try and touch it. Ill try and find a link to where i saw it at.

That bait thing is a good idea, except you may get somone who's gonna close your trunk as a favor and blame them by mistake. I don't think the factory alarm supports the pager thing, you ahve to buy an alarm with that as an option. I'll keep thinking for you man.
