Looks like you better borrow a laptop, power inverter, and a digital video camera...

These Mini SPY Cameras seem like a great place to start. But of course more ideas will be needed

I like the idea of pounding a nail into a guys car. Messed up sure, but really gets the point across, GO AWAY.

I dealt with this in high school, I got a brand new 4Runner beginning of my JR year and a lotta people talked a lotta shit. It happens, don't sweat it. Eventually someone will brag to someone who will tell you, then bring a 9 Iron out and swing for the knee caps.

I started to be disgusted with this thread and comment on how I felt about a teenager driving an S2k to Highschool...then decided to just keep my thoughts to myself.....then decided if there was any way in the world I could have had this car at earlier than 30 years old I probably would have too so.....

Have you considered a car cover, preferrably one with a lock? You can get one for about $30-$40 that would do the trick for this particular problem. Advice No. 2. get friendly w/ your school security guard. We got away with lots of good stuff for a few donuts and hamburgers here and there but you might get a little more attention paid to your car?!

(H.S. has changed in 10 or 15 years, I drove one of the nicest rides in the lot and it was a 2 or 3 year old customized mini-truck )

Another idea. Cheap or expensive depending on what you have lying around:

Find out where the crappy school camera is and if it's readily accessible. If it is, volunteer to buy a new one (a few hundred for a good resolution B&W). And park under the bad boy. Depending on how security reacts to this (they might be thrilled, or might be hostile), you can get them this way.

If the camera is on a light pole, it just won't work.

Or:

Have a friend with a van? Get a camera, tripod and a time-lapse VHS recorder. These will do 80-120 hours on a single tape (low end ones are approx $180-$200, or you can borrow one from someone?). A power inverter and a big car battery will keep this running for a while. Shoot out the van window towards your car. It can run attended or unattended.

These solutions are not really cheap, but if you catch the person doing it, it might be worth it.

I think a car cover will get cut on the first day. Plus, he'll never follow through with covering the car EVERY day...I know I wouldn't.
