Default Going rate for new 09 base?

Its been four years since i joined and i think im finally ready for an S2000. What are people paying for new 09 base models? I certainly don't want to pay anywhere near $34k for a new one but is it possible to get one below $30k? Also, when is the best time to buy an S2000?

Thanks.

No haggle offer=$29,000.
I added a couple hundred to account for inflation since the last two years this car seems to have been sold in the $28xxx range.
Make some phone calls, make the offer, see what happens. GL

I hate hearing the word, "base model."

The longer you wait, your chances for getting one under 30K is good. I have seen some CR's priced around 28K. I refuse to buy brand new cars anymore, but the last car I did buy brand new from a dealer, I got it for 1K under invoice out the door. I would find out what the invoice value is and target a price around that. Good luck ,and I hope you find what you are looking for.

I know Honda was offering $2,500 marketing support to dealers in October for 08s. Does anyone know if Honda is offering anything in November for either 08s or 09s?

Wow, CRs at $28k means even less for the "soft top model". Hmm. Can you tell us where specifically you saw these prices? Im very open to flying out of state and driving the car back if i have to.

Thanks.

Next month it will be exactly a year since I picked up my S...Exactly 32k+TTL but I'm also in Cali so prices are a little higher due to the better weather for more months of the year. Good luck on your purchase. What color are you looking into?
