Not productive to the thread...the rolling eyes. Consider this, there is a reason the air box comes with baffles. Do you think it's for performance?
Try sound control. As I stated, I don't always agree with Honda's choice of parts for the car and the stock airbox is one of them. In this case, they must of felt the stock intake needs as much air as possible and I don't think anyone would disagree with that but I also think many in here are unaware of just how much flow is restricted by having the grille in place. Some may find it an acceptable trade-off but I highly doubt anyone exists who thought by adding the grille, nothing would change. We know that. What many of us weren't (or are) aware of is by HOW MUCH.
To end, there must of been a reason why Honda chose a plastic window for two years instead of glass...surely they knew what they were doing.

I have seen many threads on this site that discuss the decreased air flow with a grill on the front of the car. I can't see that Honda would go to the effort of putting the stock grill with its very large openings on the car at all

I took my grill off after getting a new bumper, and am back to stock...decided I prefer it that way.

Russ,
great topic. I've been having some problems with my car and lost power!! I've done everything in the book to solve it. New Map sensor, checked spark plugs, water remover for gas tank cleaned Jr filter ran the honda computer with the mechanic!?

I have the garage defend CF intake plate running to the airbox and it ran great this winter.

I did however purchase a new diamond grill guard for my ride and will remove this thing tonight!! I will let people know if that helps.

Thanx Russ,

P
