I have lost my mind! I sold Spectre! Maybe someday I'll get her back! I'll miss the comradery shared on this forum. A true car lovers forum. I hope you will allow me to "chime" in once and awhile? I am still a member of the Honda Family! Here's what I got: Acura CL Type S, Comptech Springs and sway bars, Comptech headers and mufflers, Tenzo 18" wheels and rubber, Nav system. Very different ride, but more to what I need....long drives. I'll see you guys on the road!

Sorry to hear about your loss. Great choice of car (the CL Type S). Too bad they don't come with a manual transmission though.

Take care,
Andrew

I just recently sold my CL-S. Not aggresive enough of a drive. I loved the engine, but it's an awfully large car to throw around. I loved the comfort, and the luxury, but every time I parked it I was left wanting something more. That's why I'm here. Perhaps a six speed would have added that intangible 'something else', but in any event it just wasn't doing it for me. I'd like to hear your comparison of the two cars, and what led to your ultimately selling the S2000. Does the CL-S do enough of what you wanted performance-wise or was it really just a matter of not having a back seat in the S2000?

Zeke, Where to begin? First the S2K was like a drug to me, everytime I strapped myself in I went fast (2 tickets). I am in sales and travel around the SF bay area. I can now drink coffee, talk on the cell and throw my crap in the back seat. Not that these are good excuse, just my excuses. I will return to the S2K or possibly an used NSX one day, probably when the stock market recovers. For now I am Mr. Mellow. Today it was 70+ degrees, sunny skies......I miss my S2K!

Sweet new ride, Spectre! Too bad they don't offer a nice short throw 6 speed. If they did, I'd have gotten one. Infinitely more practical, sorry for your loss. Look forward to you posting your impressions of your new and larger Honda.

An alternative would have been to get yourself a nice used Acura Legend coupe 6 speed and keep your S2000 for sunny days.

Here's my other 6 speed. I got it new in 93, change the oil ever month (Mobil 1 5W30), upgraded it at 90,000 miles with a Dinan Stage II chip, RM Racing Intake, Banzai exhuast, TSW Revo 17" wheels, Eibach prokit springs, Koni Adjustable shocks, braided stainless steel brake lines ... more recently, Brembo cross drilled/slotted rotors, Toyo Proxes TS1s (215 50 17) Porterfield RS4 brake pads, new clutch, reground flywheel, shift linkage bushings ... Puts out about 265 HP at the crank (stock 230) and runs better than new.

And it's a 6 speed. I don't understand why Honda stopped making the real Legends, and why if they're going to offer the CL S as Acura's top sporty coupe, they don't offer a nice 6 speed manual.

Well, before I got my S2000, I thought my Legend had a very tight and snubbed suspension and precise steering. Now after experiencing the perfection of the Stook's suspension, steering, brakes and shift action, I think of the Legend as my limo. But if you pull up next to a 6 speed Legend coupe in your S2000, don't take it lightly. This Legend pulls very hard, and will hit 60 from an off-idle launch in just a tick over 6 seconds.

Land Ho (do you mean to say it is a ship or a whale?)

Triumph Stag!!??
Is that the progenitor of the S4000? Didn't they put 2 Triumph I4s together to make a peculiar British V8 sporty car called the Stag?
Now, put two F20Cs together ... That would be a really sporty V8 sporty car.
