Default Is this a good deal?

Hey all,

What do you think of this price for an '03? The car is the color I prefer, and in like-new condition. It has 5k miles, and is priced at $25,000.

I honestly haven't been able to decide whether to go for an '03 with 9k redline, or an '05...I know this topic has been done to death in here, but I think the biggest problem is trying to get a decent test drive in the cars to begin with. The traffic is so bad around here that I don't know if you could ever evaluate the cars properly on a test drive.

Thanks for any input.

That seems like a very fair deal. I just bought my '02 with 8600 miles for $24k.

$25k!!! That's "DOPE"!!!

I tried to sell my '03 last year with 12k miles for $23,500 with no luck. A car with 5k for $25k is more than fair, the guy probably drive for one summer only.

You definitely need an extensive test drive to really nail what you like more, and make sure you make the right choice for your self. it's all about give and take between the two.

Good luck hunting!

Its a more than fair price, especially if you prefer a Pre 04 model.

I got a similar deal back in the summer (peak convertible buying time) and was able to get a MY01 with 5K for 22,500. I would try to get them to come down a bit, since dealers seem to be offering better deals on used S2K's. As far as the MY goes and the redline, I've never driven a newer model where they changed the redline, but I love my 01 and feel that the specs on MY03 and below would give you the purer, more intense driving experience of the two versions. Mine is my every day driver for a decent length commute and the 9K redline makes the trip that much more fun.

Well, after all that, I went to a few local dealers today and put a deposit down on an '04 Suzuka Blue, 14k miles, $25,700. It's in mint condition, though.

I also looked at a Honda certified '02, which they wanted $23,000 for. It had numerous paint chips (doors, gas tank filler, side mirrors), a small hood ding, bad road rash on the wheels, and an engine compartment full of last year's leaves. The interior had quite a few scratches too, and wasn't very clean. I asked the guy when they were going to do the 150 point inspection, and he said it had been done already. Hmm.
