Default Good Deal!?!

Hello all,

Been lurking here a while and wanted to get everyone's opinion on a deal I have been offered:

- 2004 Honda S2000
- Silver w/ Black Leather
- 68K Miles
- Original owner
- Car was purchased in San Antonio, Texas and driven there until the owner moved to Dayton, Ohio about 18 months ago
- Immaculate condition - has had seat covers and floor mat covers installed since the day he bought it
- Complete servicing and maintenance records - all done at Honda
- (Original) Front and Rear tires replaced at ~62K miles (indicative that the owner didn't abuse the car?)
- Brakes replaced by Honda with OEM parts at ~65K miles
- Battery replaced ~18 months ago
- I work with the gentlemen who currently owns it and he is very honest and trustworthy
- We have negotiated a price of $12,500 - I have the weekend to let him know if I want it or not
- This will not be my daily driver

Thoughts!?

That sounds like a great deal. Knowing and trusting the sole owner of the car would give me a lot of peace of mind.

I totally agree. The only thing left if you havent yet is actually go inspect and test drive the car yourself. Check if all vins are there too for piece of mind. Sounds like a very good deal assuming everything checks out.

If everything's legit it sounds like a great deal! Not my first choice in color, but not my car!!!

If it has a clean title, vin numbers match on all body panels and you don't see any paintwork done, it looks to be a great deal.

That's a fantastic deal. People have paid a lot more money for likely not as good of a car. As long as title is clean, everything matches up, and it's mechanically sound, I'd go for it.

I thought it was a pretty good deal too. Forgot to mention it's completely stock. I drove it yesterday and it is perfect. Never been in any accidents - but he did tell me he had the windshield replaced a few years ago due to a rock chip. Didn't think that was significant.
