Thumbs up good deal or too many miles?

How many miles would you say is too many to get an s2000 with? How many should they be good to?

I am asking because there is an 01 with 69k miles on it for 13,500. They claim it is in great condition inside and out with no known problems and a clean carfax.

It, if nice, would be a good entry level purchase to an s2000. I am still young and just got my first good salaried job so don't really want to go spend it all right away haha.

It is silver with black leather. What do you guys think about that deal if it all checks out. Is that too many miles to purchase one with? It will be my daily driver. I am needing a car right away kinda as my car I have now is a dsm if any of you know about them, which is super fast but very unreliable and just annoying right now to drive due to noise, fuel smell, stalling the whole works.

The s2000 they also told me for $1200 I could get a 2 year unlimited mile warranty and for another 300 bucks another year. Also stated it was bumper to bumper.
What you think?

Sounds like a real good deal if everything does check out. Just make sure you check everything out. Good luck with the purchase.

Are there certain things that might appear to be hidden that would be good to look for in an 01 S2000? Anything they are known for having go bad that is hard to tell maybe on a test drive?

Do you all think that having just under 70k miles is getting closer to the end of it's life? Sorry don't really know how long they normally last for.

An engine can last forever if you take care of it. Remember dude its a honda, great reliability. Just change the timing belt, new spark plugs, fuel filter, clutch maybe, do your oil changes and premium gas and youll be fine. every engine new or old requires maintenance

Are the s2000 engine interference engines? How hard is a timing belt job on an s2000? Fluids and all are no problem and a no brainer for me to take care of right away. Are there certain engine accessories that tend to go first? Water pump, oil pump timing belt etc?

We do not have a timing belt, we have a timing chain.
