is it good enough for ya?
An exhaust with a little more growl is in order, especially since mine isn't a daily driver anymore. I'll probably get an aftermarket system after the car is out of warranty. I know it doesn't violate the warranty, but it can lead a dealership to wonder what other mods you did.
The stock performance is outstanding, and since I'm not competing, or even feel the need to measure my car's performance against others, I don't plan on any other mods.

Yea, it's good enough for me.
The only "mod" I have (if it can be called that) are the S2000 license plate
frames from H and A accessories.
No mods planned for my S. Of course, it could also stem from the fact that I
don't know jack about automotive technical modifications, too.

My S2K is stock, i'm loving every minute of it and don't plan on doing anything to it. It's part philopsophical (i don't really belive in moding a car, why not just save the money and get a faster car?) and part of the fact that i don't think it's really nessicary for this car. The only thing i may do later on is maybe put 17's on the car, but i dunno yet
Since I have friends that have a performance shop that specializes in Hondas, its easy to get caught up in wanting all the mods and extras. They already have a shopping list made up for me! But I have been good and decided to just stay stock except for the stereo of course. Maybe in a year or two I will go all out and turbo to race it. ONLY after I have a second car, and my beloved stook is no longer a daily driver. But like everyone else, I am completely satisfied with my stock stook, it keeps up with my friends modded cars, and kills them every once in a while. I would rather have a car that I don't have to do anything to than get a car that needs work as soon as you get it just to get a fraction of the performance that our car has direct from the factory.
The primary reason I bought an S2000 is it was one of the few cars out there that I was 100% satisfied with "out of the box" The only modification I found necessary was stereo upgrades. Most performance upgrades yield minimal results (for the money) I love the way it looks.(most aftermarket body kits are garish at best) It handles beautifully, good looking wheels, the best stock tires out there, great brakes, gearbox, stiff chassis. Most other cars I considered needed numerous "tweeks" to make me happy with them. The Honda is about 98% perfect for my needs.
I love my s2000... but it does need more power. To me, the power level right now can be considered "adequate". The stock power level is still "FUN" after 13,000 miles, but it isn't the frantic acceleration that my ideal car would have.
That being said, EVERYTHING ELSE (cept stereo) is perfect for me. Top down, quick responsive steering, with great agility, stability and plenty of grip. My ideal power level for the s2000 would be 400+ (being a sportbike guy an all), so I doubt my ideal car will be on the market anytime soon.

NO! Don't get me wrong , it is a very nice car. SUVH8R said it pretty well.
My ideal car would have frantic acceleration. Basically I want my shifter kart for the street. The S2000 is a compromise, as all cars are, from the manufacturer, (until you get up to the top supercars). My ideal would be a street legal race car, but the car manufacturers can't sell those because 99.9% of the people driving wouldn't be able to handle it. Look at all of the S2000 wrecks from people who can't handle them, and these cars are pussy cats. I'll probably mess with every car I have until I can build or buy one just the way I like it.
