Default Is it good idea to rotate tires?

I know they are different sizes, so i would like to swap left and right. I would like to swap both the fronts and backs. Both were new in Nov. 2002 approx. 6K miles on them.

Good idea or not?

to rotate the stock tires from left to right would involve actually removing the tires from the rims. is this what you are talking about?

If you want to go through the expense, hassle and time of dismounting and re-mounting your tires, go ahead. You won't be hurting anything. As far as heling - you might see some benefits with increased tread life if you're running a lot of camber and the insides of the tires are wearing a lot quicker than the outsides. Otherwise I don't think it's worth it.

From what i've always been told, its ok to rotate tires when they are low performance (average cars) and they're not made of high compound sticky rubber (as the s2000 is). However, i've also always heard that performance tires should not be rotated, that if they are due for rotating, then they should be replaced. Also, you wouldnt want to switch tires on the s2000 (front-->back) because the rears are 225-and the fronts are 205 that would give some very bad handling!
my .02, hope it helps

I could be wrong. I thought I remember reading in the manual, Do not rotate.
