Default Good service and clear corner mod

I was about to perform the clear corners mod but noticed a bubble forming in the gray paint inside the headlight housing in front of the HID lens. I didn't want Honda to blame me for the bubble so I decided to put off the mod and call the closest dealer for a replacement. I called Bell Honda here in Phoenix and was told to visit the service dept so they could take a look at it. The service rep took a quick glance to confirm my claim. After he took down some info he told me he'd call when the new headlight was in. I've been to Bell Honda several times for various things and they seem to be quite competent. I just wanted to share the good experience since so many bad experiences are reported.

On another note, I'm fully documenting my clear corners mod with pics and notes to post here. Thanks to S2KO, SilverStreak, and others for their contributions to the information on here so far.

Where are you getting the clear corner lenses from?

Actually, I'm just removing the amber diffuser from the stock headlight assembly as many others have done.

So if my math is correct you are going to have one extra light to try first? I would certainly ask them for the defective one if possible....

I will try to get the one with the bubble but I'm not too optimistic.

A lot of people have this bubble in their headlights. It might be a design flaw and might come back. I think the HIDs burn so hot that they cause the bubbles to form in the headlight assembly.

I just picked up the replacement headlight assembly from the dealership. They are allowing me to switch out the parts but they are requiring me to return the original part. I asked them if I could do this because I'm taking them out to remove the diffuser anyway. (I didn't tell them what I was doing - just that I was doing some work that required I remove the headlights.)

So, tomorrow is the clear-corner mod...
