Nope, you are right. For the AP2 front lip, there is OEM, OEM in CF, Mugen. That is as far as I know. Personally, I have the Mugen.

OEM lip looks best. You will lose power with a short ram and most cold-air intakes.
Lose power with an intake??? That is incorrect. It depends on the brand and the dyno results from certain manufacturers.

Do some research on dyno runs with intakes and choose the best one for hp and torque gains.

On intakes, I know that the k&n FIPK gives a gain of at least 5hp.

i'm pretty sure that the k&n doesn't make 5hp... at least i'm yet to see some dyno numbers to show this...

i think the JDM (J's Racing, Mugen, Amuse, etc.) intakes are supposed to give the most gain, but there is no guarantee--they have also given as much as cheaper intakes in some applications (correct me if i am wrong guys). but the JDM intakes are in the $1000 range. if i could do it all over again i'd go with the AEM V2. if there's no risk of submerging a low-mounted air filter given your driving conditions/climate/location, you should go with that because they are shown to give the most power and sound the nicest. i was a pansy and decided to go with the K&N because i was scared of hydrolocking/cutting my bumper to install a CAI

aem v2 i thought had the bypass valve built in as well.
regardless, i'm pretty sure no intake puts out 5hp.....

AP2 model years are 2004-current.
