Default Goodbye S2000

It breaks my heart to say this but I am having thoughts of leaving the S2000 camp.....I Have been saving my money for 2 and a half years working 2 jobs....While I research for thing to put on this car....Just recently a close friend of mine decided to trade in his 1998 Z28 for a 2001 Honda S2000 about 5 months ago...Let me just say that he has alot of money at hit diposal....Anyway he everything I wanted to do to my car and did it to his over a period of 3 weeks...I am talking ASA AS1 Rims..Lovefab Turbo kit....With a
GT2876R turbocharger....4.77 gears...Hondata Intake gasket....04 front end converstion with front lip and a APR underbody spoiler...MG Style Hard top, Hood and Wing...ACT Clutch...Custom 3 inch Exhaust...Lowered on T1r Coils....I am talking down to the interior mods and even a Nakamichi CD 400 deck...Now I have $11700 bucks and a stock car...Why would I want to have the same car as him?....I know it sounds like I am bitching and complaing and even a little jealous...Well I am in a way....But that was probably the most dickheaded thing someone has ever done to me..I know some people are going to say stop wining etc..Your right I should but I now there are some people who were just as serious abou their cars as I was mine.......I have decided to sell my car...Sever ties and begin a new project with the money I have saved....This kid is truely a flammer

This kid has a history of buying the same car as everyone of his friends

Don't worry about anyone else. If you like it, you do it. It doesn't matter if he did it first or whatever, because you're not trying to copy off him.

He seems to go through cars pretty often, just wait for him to sell his, buy the mods off him, and call it a day. Seriously, don't let it bother you. He seems to follow the pack, just wait for one of your other friends to buy a new car and your problems should be solved.

shouldn't you take that as a compliment since he's trying to copy you. "immitation afterall is the sincerest form of flattery" goodluck with you new vehicle though...

The dude sounds like a dueche and I would have dropped him as a friend a long time ago after I confronted him with his "Mine is better than yours" mentality.

Ultimatly, you are letting this guy deprive you of something you really want. Don't sweat it, he will get something else as soon as another of his friends does. Then you can have the car YOU wanted all to yourself.

So you're just going to get something else, and wait for him to copy you again?

If you like your car, who gives a shit what he's done to his. Sounds like he's going to constantly try to one-up you. Just be happy with what you've got, and to hell with him.
