Wednesday I picked up a new STB from Neuspeed and installed it in 2 minutes flat. It seems to make a quite a difference, giving a much taughter ride and better feel of the road. Luckily, I got it at an introductory price of $104, and today, Neuspeed are having a parking lot sale of all their goodies. They're selling all their S2000 stuff at introductory prices, so I'm off shopping and hoping to pick up their SS exhaust for $585 (I think it's made by Borla). If anyone's interested in what's available, I suggest you check their online catalog and call for the intro prices, which they'll offer to S2K customers through Monday, on phone orders.

I just received my Neuspeed cat-back exhaust yesterday. Unfortunately, I can't put it on, since my car is in to have the transmission and seat belt work done and won't be back until Wednesday.

I purchased a RM Racing strut bar and it's great (I couldn't wait for the Neuspeed one)

I installed the RM Racing strut tower brace at about 4,000 miles. Noticed a very subtle stiffening of the front structure. I then installed the Spoon lower x brace at about 6,000 miles. What a difference!! Structural rigidity is MUCH better. Don't know if it's the combination, but I'd try the Spoon lower x brace first, if it works, save the money and weight.

I picked up my SS exhaust yesterday and will have it installed next Monday. I've also ordered the X-brace through the group buy, so I'm looking for a real different "feel" to the car when I've got that bolted on too. All I need now is the rebored TB, and then my wallet will be empty!

Why?

Are these changes (strut tower brace and lower brace) for track?

Do they help or hurt on the road?

This car is so much stiffer/better than my previous best ride, I'm planning to keep it stock.

Absolutely! If I get it back on Wednesday (I damn well better!) I may do it Wednesday night. If not, maybe Thursday morning while my pies bake in the oven. Absolute latest, Friday morning.
