Default got my S yesterday

Well after looking for 4 months i finally grew some balls and got a yellow 02
A few things were missing but i was wondering where the best and cheapest place would be to get them

1. Owners manual
2. the boot that goes over the top when its down (not sure i would even use this much but might be nice to have)
3. Also the cover for the radio won't lock in but the car has 28,000 miles so it should be under warranty so i will probably take it to the local honda dealership.
4. Does the car have a light that tells you when its time for the next oil change? should i take it to a honda place or would a jiffylube be ok? since i don't have the owners manual i don't know if it takes regual oil or synthetic.
5. I have the remot for the lock and unlock but they look a little beat up, can i buy new ones and are they easy to program or do i have to pay the deal to do it for me?

Im sure i will have more questions as i get to know the car a little better but any info now would be greatly appreciated.

Just glade to be a part of this elite group

1. dealer
2. dealer - not cheap new
3. warranty
4. manual states regular, but synthetic is fine. if you don't know when it was last done, get it done ASAP.
5. you have to buy from and have dealer progam - not cheap.

You can also buy these from AutoZone or off of eBay....in my experiences if the dealers are nice, or if you are getting other work done (oil changed plus buying all those other things), they'll just do it for free.

1. http://www.helminc.com
2. Post in the FS/WTB forum, I'm sure there are a lot of people out there that never use theirs and would be willing to part with it.
3. Yeah.. try to get it fixed under warranty first, but I bet they don't cover it, because it's probably broken (due to operator error). I've never heard of that problem before.
4. Yes. "Maint Req'd" light. You'll read more about it when you get your owner's manual. The recommended weight of oil is 10W-30. Dino vs Synthetic is generally user preference. If you're willing to let the dealer do the oil/filter change, then JiffyLube is probably not any worse. I'd recommend that you do it yourself. The most important thing is to make sure they use the right filter. There's a FAQ around here somewhere that talks about which filters are recommended (and gives the part numbers). There are many Honda filters that fit the S2000, but only a couple get the "S2KI Stamp of Approval".
5. If you buy a new remote (from the dealer), they should program it for free... I'd insist on it. If not, the method for programming the remote is probably in the Owner's Manual, too. I haven't looked for it, though, so I could be wrong.

The OEM remotes are easy to program. Directions for programming new remotes is included in the Helms service manual not the Honda owner's manual.

Check out HandAaccessories.com for the boot cover. They seem to have good prices.

scguy, what city/state do you live in? If Los Angeles, you can buy my cover. It's sitting in my garage taking up space. Never plan on using it.

Make sure the manual isn't in your secret compartment. You may already have one.
