Sweet!! Awsome sound, and 20ish lbs lighter that stock. Love that sound cruising 35-40mph in 3rd. On the gas, off the gas; repeat. Very pleased and did it myself!! Of course, I spent more money on the tools than I would have to just get it installed. But there's that element of personal satisfaction in doing it yourself. Thanks to everyone who posted tips!!
Also took out the spare tire, now if I could just get the driver to drop 20 lbs...
I agree with you on the "on the gas, off the gas routine". The sound is VERY nice.
How 'bout that smell, yeecccch. But it does go away in a couple of days.
Enjoy!
I hear ya about the "do it yourself" thing. The tools, you'll always have use for those. And the sound - it just gets better and better with age. What are you gonna do if you get a flat at 4 AM? I'd keep the spare and put the driver on a diet.
After about 3 months, I noticed it was getting deeper and more "rumbly". Mind you, this is my year round driver so yours may vary due to how much you drive it. Also I do about 2-3 highway trips a year (2000 miles each) and definately mid way through one of these trips, the sound "matures".
Yeah, it's pretty horrid. Got a couple of wrinkeld-nose looks at stop lights. Guy in a Sebring was looking around like he thought it was his car. Ha Ha. Probably expected it with a Chrysler.
So the sound gets better!?!? Kewl. Problem is I only drive on weekends, travel each week for work. Could take 2 years to "mature."
I'll probable put the tire back in after a few weeks. Got a bit carried away with the weight loss stuff. Tried to convince myself that AAA Premium will carry a spare tire just for me.
Thanks Keith, but I've seen the way you drive and your bald tires. The exhaust looks awsome. It hung perfectly, I only had to adjust the right side 1/4 inch to the left, and the left side 1/4 inch up.
