Default Got puled over today..

this morning I woke up 30 minutes earlier than usual so I can "be sure" to make it to class on time but F@CK no. got pulled over for speeding and I was even later than usual and missed my test review! and the thing piss me off is that I was NOT doing 60 in 45! my speed was 51!

Anyhow, after reviewing the ticket closely. the officer put "CV" instead of putting the correct model/style. last time I checked I drive an S2000.

can I use that mistake to get my ticket dismissed?

Lol no you cant use that technicality to get off your ticket. Either pay it or hope the officer doesnt show up. Were you being difficult to the officer? Because 60 and 51 is a big difference in terms of points and fine. Live and learn from this.....and not all cops are "pigs".

story has holes.

1: If you got up 30 mins earlier than usual, why would u be speeding at all? surely you would be crusing and enjoying your car and nice ride to school.

2: cops dont pull you over for 51 in a 45.

3: "pig" has a calibrated speed detection device, you have aftermarket wheels/tires.... id bet your mph would be off before i would believe his is

I wasn't being difficult to the officer at all. I'm a very polite in general.

I'm just really pissed off right now... the more I think about it...

I really think he pulled over the wrong car.
it was one of those "speed trap thing" (one cop shot the laser and radio over to the other cop to issues the ticket)
why I think they got the wrong person... well, about 50ft before where the officer were stationed/shooting laser, there was this SILVER (my s2 is also silver) honda accord that zone right pass me. so I'm thinking the "laser officer" radio over "Silver Honda" or something along the line to the other officer... and being that s2000 is a sports car, with exhaust. he assume the "speeder" was me.

hope that make some sense.

makes some sense, in ga, we have a law taht states the officer that uses the radar/laser is the one that has to issue you the ticket, you can fight it and get out of it that way here. something to look up in your area.

yes, I got up 30 minutes earlier and I was just "cruising" at 51.
and yes cops can pull you over even if you are 5 over!
and yes my speedometer can be off. not going to argue with you on that.

I didn't check to see where you are from, but in FL you can delay the court date by writing to them. This could help your chance that the pig won't show.

Also, you can write a letter to the prosecutor to try to cut a deal and pay less / have less points before the court date. Its the same kind of thing as with serious crimes. You admit you were guilty, and they give you a lesser fine.

You can also write a letter to the judge before the hearing explaining why you were wrongfully ticketed and he may throw out the case if you are convincing enough.

Those are the 3 best methods that have helped me get out of tickets, all of them can work.

Rofl the use of the word pig here makes me Yes there's some crooked cops out there, but you got caught breaking the law... 'pigs' assault people; cops do their job... by pulling you over. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying I don't break the law, but when I do get caught... I'm a man about it.

Be a man, do the right thing.

As Russian youth, we only referred to cops as "trash." That was the universal slang for them. I'm not trying to offend, its just the way some people view cops. Yeah they save lives and keep order, but they also give out meaningless tickets and ruin everybody's night.

The whole "serve and protect" thing stabs me in the eye whenever things like that happen.. The next that bothers the sht tar out of me is the speed traps that police coordinate.

I feel that anger and steam from here... It is quite petty to ticket for a 6 over the limit.

All i can say is sht happens to us all and the bad thing is they know there is not much we can do to get out of it...
