got pulled over today.
Got a no front plate ticket in the city of chicago while parked. Appealed it with a picture of front plate on car and it got dismissed. Got off with one speeding warning. Actually going to court for a 54 in a 35 today, we shall see how it goes.
I live in Atlanta... I've had my S for about 18 months and I've only been pulled over once. I've found you've got to pick your spirited runs carefully. If a cop is anywhere near you and you try to max this car out, you're going to get pulled over, unfortunately.
The one time I got pulled over was for taking corners at high speed. To be honest, what I was doing was moderately dangerous, but it's just so dang fun. Fortunately I also got off with just a warning.

I've had my M for 3 months and I got pulled over 4 times. I don't speed but cops just love to pull me over. I was in sport mode and the throttle started bucking at maybe 10 mph and he pulled me over for having "jerky acceleration"
$100!? Holy crap. You don't keep the front plate in the car and tell em it kept falling off or something? I took my plate off and at first was paranoid, but now I generally forgot. No front plate just looks so good...
Sonething similar happened to me. After a long night bar hopping, I saw a check point while driving down a road, so I made the first turn that came up. Within seconds of turning patrol car came speeding behind me, probably ran my plates for about a minute and then made a U turn. The longest minute in my life.

I guess responsibility is confusing these days...
