The car is pretty great as is - just do the tune up stuff that sick honda mentioned and maybe get a nice set of wheels since the AP1 wheels are pretty outdated.

Learn the car, then mod according to what he'd like out of it after summer is over

I agree with everyone above. The car has very few shortcomings unlike many other cars off the showroom floor. This car was designed to do many things well without compromise.

Make sure his service is up to date, fluid, tires, brakes... all that... and do some trackdays/autoX... you'll see what the car can really do.... trust me... I'm tracking mine now, basically stock, and I'm passing most cars out there.

I agree with everyone here. I've had mine for almost a year and the only 'mod' that i have bought for the car so far is a new shift knob from Rick's. I was lucky enough to find a leather console cover in the trunk, so I put that in as well. Otherwise, I've just changed all the fluids and that's about it.

Tell him to leave it stock over the summer and enjoy it. Then maybe over the winter start thinking about what he would like to do as far as mods go.

You can gut the air box and close the resonator in the air box as well.
