Got the seat belt fix.
I didn't have any problems with the belts but decided to get it done anyway.Gave it to them
at 9:00am as per appointment. They tell me the car will be ready by 5:00pm. Call me at 3:30 and tell me they are just starting on it and it will be ready late pm. They stay open until 2:00 am. I tell them to keep it overnight. Pick it up this am and it has seven more miles on it than when I gave it to them. Service Mgr. said they had to test drive it to make sure the belts were working
properly. I told him that was a bunch of BS.
What do ya think?

I had this "recall" service done on my S2000 as well and I left it first thing in the morning! At 4pm, I arrived to pick it up only to see my seats completely out of my car! The service manager explained it was a lot more work than they thought. . .initially! Around 6pm, they had my car ready. I never had a problem with the seatbelts prior but now after the service "recall" I've noticed that the passenger's belt sticks! Figures!
It is a long fix. Service manager put two guys on it (left and right) to finish mine in one day because they started late.
I does take a short drive to check out. Mine always get a couple of miles because of the test drive route, but anything more than that seems excessive (you test seat belts with the brakes not the accelerator).

Yep, the bullsheetometer was pegged...7 miles? Hmmm, can we say joyride? Shorter than what we have heard around here lately, but still...
I haven't taken my car in for ANY service, I do it all myself. The one time a strake needed to be replaced, I heard the tech grind the crapola out of reverse. Everyone looked shocked and I just shook my head.
Get from the dealer BEFORE you leave the car and document the miles BEFORE you leave the dealer. Sondra has a good system. She takes a sticky note pad, writes the miles down on one and sticks it next to the odometer and writes another one and takes it with her...and then if they need to take the car out, she must be in it.
I'm going to do that when they do my tranny next Spring...
