Wow, sorry to hear about that, are you a "no fault" state like Florida? We have to carry no fault insurance for reasons as these.

Condolences - do they something like Uninsured Motorists coverage in Florida to help you? that is a fee paid to the state that is ued to compensate victims of uninsured drivers.
