there's a complete engine and tranny for sale on ebay for $5500 off a 2004 with supposedly 10 miles.

The story is that the car was being transported by a train that wrecked and 12 s2000 where damaged and had to be parted out.

Gotta really wonder if that's what happened, because 5500 for a new 2.2 with tranny is pretty damn cheap.

Yes a train did derail and several salvage yards have been offering primo 2004 parts for some time. Still a few engines and trannys, etc around.

 

I think Hardtopguy knows something about this.

 

There was a guy on this board that had one of the cars on the truck ordered from the dealer, the dealer had to get him another one.
