Gran Turismo 2's S2000
You can get the Spoon S by doing Racing Mods also, I remembered we've maxed it to ~340hp. You may want to try the S2000 GT1, takes a bit of tuning to get it running right, but its awfully fun.
BTW, I got to try GT3 at the SF Autoshow...all I can say is WOW....

Actually,
there is a special mod-chip that is available for the PS2. And yes, it allows you to play copied PSX games, copied DVD's (seeing that you have access to DVD writers), however, they won't play copied PS2 games (again, if you have access to a DVD writer (I'm actuaally not sure if the games are written in DVD format), but there is new code technology that was too complicated to be broken by today's mod-chips).
However, the mod-chip is good for letting you play PS2 and PSX games that come from foreign countries (read: the cool Japanese versions of all the games we get here and more).
Hope I helped.

As much fun as the S2000s are, the Suzuki Escondido(something like that) is BAD. I've lowered the shocks all the way and turned up the downforce and was running 1:05's on Laguna, or about two seconds faster that the CART cars did in race trim this year. It has like 900 hp and weighs about 1100 lbs.
The Escudo is the game's F1 car. Turn all the settings to their' stiffests and lowest and it feels like an F1 car. Anyone get the Renault Espace F1? Its a minivan with 800 HP, Renault shoved at F1 engine in it. It's a real pain to drive but funny to watch.
