Default Great Dealership. REad This.

I just received my 2001 Yellow S2000 back today after 2 days from the Coral Springs Honda dealership in Florida. After 13,200 miles I told them that I was starting to hear grinding noises
going into 2nd gear. Not only did the replace the gears, but they also installed a new heavy duty clutch. No cost . They are great.

What kind of clutch is it? I assume it's an aftermarket one.

Sheeze, that's almost a good enough reason to drive from vegas to Florida, and I'm not being sarcastic! I'm afraid to take my car into the dealer out here for my 1-2 crunch.

This doesn't help the rest of the nation all that much, but Classic Honda in Orlando, Florida was terrific to me also. After being denied TSB 54 and 55 service at Autoway Honda in Clearwater as well as several other dealer service departments, I called Classic, since they had hosted the last S2000 meet for me and had been so generous with us.

Service writer Billy Walker heard me out and asked when he could schedule the service, period. No questions, no doubts, no hassle; it was just done. I'd recommend Billy to anyone who needs service but doesn't need hassle and haranguing to get it done.

Classic Honda here in Round Rock, Texas, has been good to me also, though their response time on return phone calls sucks and certain techs have less than impressed me. If you go there, ask for Dan Chrisman, then ask for Matt Maskey to be the one to work on your car.

P.S. I was impressed enough with Classic's service that I drove the 100 miles out to Orlando without a complaint!

You are lucky, I am too a fraid to take mine in for the gear grind. After all my dealer is the place that told me my body was aluminum. Then when I took it in to have the CD changer installed the were too stupid to read the instructions and set the spring setting to horizontal so the darned thing skipped until I had the time to fix it myself.
I just can't trust them to do something as complicated as fix my trans

There is a new service bulletin out on this. I was told it also applies the the clunky shifts. The bulletin includes gears and a new clutch. I am working on getting the reference number.
