Default Greddy Block adapter

Search just came up with a 1000 emanage threads

Can anyone explain the Greddy block adapter to me? Does it allow for both oil pressure and temp? Or is it basically just a bypass so you dont have to tap your oil pan for temp?

Also whats the retail on these? Even froogle isnt coming up with anything.

Thanks!

GReddy Oil Filter Block adapters provide an easy way to install oil pressure and oil temperature gauge sensors. Now, one unit includes 3 different threads and 2 different o-ring diameters to fit most Japanese engines. Made from billet aluminum and simple to install, this adapter mounts between the oil filter and engine block

The item lists for $68.00

I was advised by some friends who race to put a clamp on the filter and attach a spring to the clamp and fix it to the block to prevent the filter or adapter from backing out and releasing oil, I wasn't too confident with my adapter when installed so the clamp idea gave me a little peace of mind for track days!

I had one on my civic...ran the oil feed line to the turbo, and the oil pressure guage from it. I never had any problems with it, but I only used it for about 900 miles when I was breaking in the new engine, then I got the GReddy oil filter relocation kit. I don't know about the S2k engine (haven't got down and dirty with it.....yet!), but it did make things easier on the civic. Oh yea, you could also run the temp guage there. If I remember right, it has 2 openings for guages, and 1 opening for a feed line. It comes with plugs so you don't need to use them all.
