Default Grill falling off from my ap2 front bumper

how can i fix this? i tried popping the grill back in by pulling it towards the front, but after i drive my car around the thing pops back out again. Is there something that's supposed to be securing it somewhere?

it just dangles lopsided behind my bumper after it comes off...

There's clips behind the oem grill, you might need to pick up a new set...

Mine did that too and the tabs that the clips 'clip' onto broke so now she is taped on. Its a ghetto fix but you cannot see it since its tapped form the back and a few tabs still hold it on.

good luck.

Tried double-sided automotive trim tape, didn't work. Eventually said F it and used superglue. It's holding like a charm and you can't tell by looking at it. I've met several other AP2 owners with this problem. Once the tabs the clip goes onto break, you're left with one of these jury-rig fixes or you're looking at a body shop bill to make it right.

duct tape didnt hold it for me

where the hole in the painted bumper portion is for the clip, i drilled through the black overlapping grtill portion, then tied together with zip ties. it pretty much disappears (cant see it visually)

is it ghetto> yes, but my front bumper is already cosmetically scratched to hell so i can live with it

Same here but i ended up putting a Black bolt not a ziptie

I just fixed mine last night. Took the bumper off and got some 15 minute epoxy to hold the grill in.

Be careful taking the grill off that you don't break anymore pins that hold it on.

I used clear caulk over the pin that fits in the bracket. Used tape to hold it until the caulk dried. Worked well for me. The grill could still be easily removed if needed and then new caulk applied.

i think those pins/clips may have fell off in the freeway. anybody know how much this stuff costs at the dealership?

do you have to remove your bumper to fix the grill?
