Hi all,

Last night I was driving and I red lined in 1st and shifted into 2nd and got the worst grind I've ever seen or done. I grinded 2nd gear 2 times so bad that I thought I broke the gear. It did not wanna go in 2nd and I pulled it in with all my strength twice.

After that I stopped at the next light and the gear would not wanna go into 1st at all. Now my 1st gear is so bad that I can feel the synchros lock out the gear everytime I wanna put it in or take it out. It scrapes the synchros throughtout the whole motion to 1st and 2nd, like somebody is holding the gear while I am forcing it and out.

I think now i need to take it to the dealer to replace the synchros because now I think they're destroyed. I have 10,900 miles Vin # 2898 had a grind only 2 times since I've owned the car, a little over a year.

Also my clutch noise while decelerating is getting worse, so I'll try to get the updated clutch free. But I know that will be a challenge. And now I am getting some differential clunking noises while I make tight u-turns.

I'll have updated on what happens.

Yeah I think that this should be covered under warranty no problem Good luck on the repair!

Hey, I just got my gear grind taken care of by my local dealership. Before they fixed it, I probably had it happen 10 to 15 times. It's only been a week, but it hasn't happened yet since they fixed it so I assume it has been taken care of. Just give them this service bulletin:
