No licensing, just can't move to the next racing class until you place inside the top 3 in each race of the lower category. At least I think you have to be.

I refreshed my PS3 because I wanted the US storefront on my account and not the Japanese one, so it wiped out parts of the hd and I am unable to answer the question about transferring over money from GT4, somehow I think it doesn't though.

I thought the money was transferrable from GT3 to GT4.
But not the case for GT5??
I got like 6 million dollars in GT4

The challenges in the game are driving me insane...

I never thought I would ever curse so much for driving a Ferrari...

Is it difficult to beat the challenges?
I know I cursed a lot when I was getting the license for GT4.
How's the overall difficulty level compared to GT4?

Well the overall challenge isn't that bad. The GT-R will be the only one giving you somewhat trouble in the regular races (but if you have the Amuse S2000, it shouldn't be a problem).

There are a few challenges though that pissed me off to no end

The Ferrari one has you on a variation of Daytona. You start off in 16th place and have to reach at least third place by the end of the lap. You learn real quick to control your temper.

I also found that mid-engine cars really feel like they're mid engine now. In GT4, they kinda felt more FR based. Now they're very neutral and they'll kick you right in the balls if you screw up.

This one seems much much better with a wheel compared to GT4.

I can't really comment since I've never played that game but this is polyphony and the F2007 feels so real through those corners especially if you tune it. I generate so much downforce at times that i don't need to brake but if I do it in any other car I'd be flying into the wall. Sorry I can't help you much

Btw, I don't think you can transfer money from GT4 to GT5 but I have heard that aswell where you will be able to take your cars and money from Prologue to 5.
