Default H&R Springs

On my old Civic I had H&R springs and I loved them. Generally they seem to be more commonly used on Euro cars (ie. BMWs) but based on my own experience with them I was really happy! Firm ride, lowered height, not bouncey and after a year and a half on them I was still running OEM shocks.

Here is a link to the page:

I've searched on here and come up with 0 results mentioning these. I'm hoping someone can shed a little light. Seems like they'd be perfect for my use, street with a little track, a little drop (1.5-2") without being slammed. My Civic ended up about 1.5-1.75" after they settled.

I know guys who have used them - my problem with springs in general is that the OEM suspension is tuned really, really well - so I believe that if you're going to mess with it you should just get decent coil-overs (not a choice everyone has due to $$$) my $.02

That's the tempting part, to go drop a few hundred bucks and possibly have something decent. Hmmm. Do you know anyone who used em on the S?

I honestly love the way the car handles stock, but I wouldn't mind having a little drop in height. I just can't justify buying coil-overs JUST to drop an inch or so.

I just purchased these exact springs form Tirerack. Just received them yesterday. I also purchased Koni shocks form another vendor. Still waiting for the shocks.
I decided to go with the H&R because I only wanted a small drop in ride height.

I'll post more feedback after I get them installed.

AWESOME! I can't wait to hear what you think of em! Please make sure to post up once you've got em on. It would be another one of those potentially inexpensive mods that I could add to the short list for the winter when I'm wishing I could be driving it more

Yeah CR suspension...price that one out and I suspect you'll be looking somewhere in the $3-4K range once all's said and done! Honda will no doubt try to sell some "high performance CR bushing fluid" to go along with it

Just saw your thread. I am running H&R's. Have had them over my stock shocks for well over 3 years and haven't had any problems. No bounciness, no leaky shocks and just enough drop to close up some wheel gap. There is also no rubbing. But I would say that I don't drive my car nearly as hard as some of the folks here. I only have 16k miles on my car and installed them at about 3,500 miles. The reason I went with H&R's is because I had them on my 1997 Integra and was very pleased with them. FYI, on S2K's the drop is 0.75" front and 0.6" rear although I'd be willing to bet that now that they're settled, it's probably closer to an inch.

Here's a couple of pics with 18's.

I've heard good things about them as well. Isn't the drop right around an inch?
