i dont have the model # of bigger one that i was using before right now
the model # of the new filters is H1540-PFB-004

i was wondering if these are okay to use. i want xviper's opinion

the hamp filter is "supposed" to be the same. people have cut them open, but I'm unsure if an actual test of the specs has been performed.

Just curious why you aren't using the S2000 PCX filter from honda? it's made specifically for the S2000.

Looking at the HAMP page itself I would say no...the H1540-PFB-004 is not the correct filter. The old HAMP filter that we used to use was the H1540-PLC-004...however this filter has been discontinued and replaced by the H1540-PLC-505 per

Looking at the HAMP page itself this appears to be confirmed.....

almost all Honda's use the H1540-PLC-505 with only a couple using the H1540-PFB-505. Looks like the H1540-PFB-004 is the older gen like the H1540-PLC-004 but was not the one reccomended for the s2k.

Considering that the current price for the H1540-PLC-505 is about 20% higher than the H1540-PFB-505 it is likely the PFB brand is a lower quality/less effective filter. It may work fine it may not. I probably wouldn't use it.
