Default Hard Top Option

I just received my hard top today and was surprised by the fact that the rear defroster doesn't get hooked up. Is this normal or did my dealer do something wrong. I also found it interesting that while the hardtop is on there is nothing to disable the movement of the convertible top. If anyone else out there has a hard top please let me know if yours was installed differently. I think while the hard top is on I'm going to pull the fuse to the convertible top just to make sure no accidents happen.

I am getting a hard top installed in about 2 weeks by the dealer. It cost me $130 for the defroster kit and for installation. Since I haven't got it yet I can't help you much for your other problems.

Your install is incomplete. The defroster should work, and the conv top should be disabled by a microswitch in the driver side attachment point. Time to go back and get it done right.

The "owners Manual" that comes with the hardtop shows where harness is supposed to be! Take it back to be finished correctly.

Damn, all of these hard top owners, but not one can afford $20 to join as an official member.
