Hardtop for a '03 European S2000

What should I know when searching for an hardtop for my 2003 S2000?
Can it be from a RHD car or do I need to search exclusively for a LHD S2000 hardtop?
Does it have to be from the 02 model on, or can it be from an older one?

i think hardtops are all the same....go to you local dealers and buy it from them directly ,they should have that hardtop that fits

some say that the hardtop has to match the vin# of your car.

The problem is that here in Portugal it costs around Eur2700 or $3400. However i found one that is for sale for less than Eur1000. Should I really go to my local dealer? I think it's worth some research.
