New, the factyory ones retail for around $2700 to $2800 - although some websites sell them for $2500 or so (hardtopguy did a while ago). I've seen them used on this board for as low as $1800.
Depending on the MY, you have to pay extra for an install kit (usually $130-$140)
There is also one available from Mugen, I think, but I am not sure of the exact cost (seen posts saying around $2600 or so for fiberglass, and around $5k for carbon fiber)
Have not gotten one yet, so do not know how they fair in winter, but I have seen one installed and it looks awesome, and fitment seemed very tight - like a tiger
If no one posts pics here, You can check in the photo gallery - there are some close-up shots that show how well it fits,
Hope this helps!

I just installed mine yesterday and took it over to the shop to be painted. I really like the way it looks. I think it flows well with the lines of the car. Its more secure, cuts down on noise, and just adds a bit more solid feel to the vehicle. Its a bit expensive, but I like it a lot. There is someone on ebay selling a new yellow one for $1900. I emailed him about other colors and he wanted $2550 shipped for them.

I'll post pics next week probably to give you an idea of what my car looks like.

as everything else, it is purely a personal choice.

it is not cheap

you need room to safely store it

it is bulky and should be a two man job on & off

it is well made (oem), fits well, and a complete installation with defroster

it makes the car appear to be a totally different car

depends a lot upon your climate and weather conditions

it has equity, you can always dispose of it without great loss

improved visibility over soft top

car sound level differs

again, not a cheap mod, but i am glad i bought it

call the hardtopguy and pick his brain

For a few reasons. I tend to prefer the car with the hardtop on in general, so it pretty much stays on the car unless I take it off for the specific reason of going for a topless drive. I also like the added security. Plus, the top needed to be painted, and the easiest way to get both it and the car to the dealer was to put the hardtop on and drive the car there.

Uhhhhhh.....I take it you have never been to Texas in the summertime.

I'm about to order a hardtop and it will stay on all summer and come off in the winter.
