Default Hardtop

I need to ask a question re fibreglass hardtop (mugen).I really like it and much prefer it to the stock one , however I think that the fibreglass one is much harder to fix onto car , making it more of a permanent thing rather than a temporary one like the stock hardtop.could anyone give me more info please?
thanks a lot

it will take 4 hours to install if you've never installed one, and you're doing it yourself. get a friend to help.

It takes 4 hours to install the first time. After that it takes 30 seconds.

The initial install (hardware, etc) takes a few hours, which no one is mentioning, after that it takes minutes to "install".

If you are talking about welding the top and making a coupe out of the car you would need to do it with the OEM top and you would need to add material to bond the Window frame and top together and make it into one piece.

If you do it with the Mugen Top you would need to do some welding to the brackets or replace them with screwed mounts (more like a fixed racing mount).

I would not recommend it due to issues with weather stripping becomeing old and needing replacement at some point, If the top is welded on you would not be able to replace it (I'm sure there will be other issues, but I can not think of all of them, right now )

I dont really see why you would want to do it, but if you try it good luck
