hardtop install help

is it neccessary to get the hardtop strikers/catcher when installing an oem hardtop?

or can i still use the oem catcher hardware mounted on the windshield?

MY02 or higher can use the catcher already on the car. MY00-01 need to replace them with the supplied hardware.
