Default Hardtop noticeable?

Hey

I have a question for you my 04 Hardtop owners (if its any difference from the my 03 i dunno)

Does the hardtop make the car performe alot worse, or is the difference not noticeable?

Does the hardtop affect the 0-60 mph time? (not that 0-60 is everything) but im just curious.

Can you compensate the hardtop by just filling half of the gas tank ?

Any ides or comments regarding this is appreciated

Best regards

Kenny

The hardtop weighs about the same as 7 gallons of gasoline. Yes, you could put fewer gallons in to compensate.

The hardtop improves the areodynamics over the cloth top.

If you really care about performance with the hardtop, you could permanently remove the soft top and it's structures and motor. That would make the car lighter.

I don't know if anyone has documented 0 to 60 with soft top vs. hardtop.

Hardtop doesn't wiegh enough to make a difference on the 0-60 time. It weights ~44lbs. I believe u save like .1 sec for every 100lbs in the 1/4 mile.
