Hi, I’ve been after a black OEM hardtop for months and one just showed up for sale about 1000 miles away. My concern is that the owner says the top is on his car but he sold the defroster cable and the hardware and he only selling it for money for school.
Although the price is reasonable it is a long way to drive to find out if it is legit. If he said the car sold and the top has been sitting in a garage for a few months, I could understand but to be on his car, how is it mounted?

Any thoughts or should I pass?

 

Uh, you look at it and see if it's OEM or not... There's not much to it. Does it have HONDA glass? Is it aluminum? Does it have a full interior? a

You'll want/need to buy the hardware to mount it, there's only 400000000000003 threads about what's required and how to install it.

You don't mention the price. You don't mention the condition. You don't post a picture or the listing.

How do you intend for people to tell you whether it's worth it or not?

 

If he sold the hardware (presumably the OEM hardware) and he claims that it is still installed on his car, then he probably is using a one piece Izzy style bracket like this one:
